TASK AT HAND
The International Specialised Road Exhibition was held on 16-18 October 2019 on the territory of Yekaterinburg-Expo. This is a large-scale event for 10,000 people – representatives of the transport sector. The level of the exhibition is quite high – Dmitry A. Medvedev (2012-2020 Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation), federal ministers, Sverdlovsk Region Governor, heads of other Russian regions, domestic and foreign exhibitors and visitors came to "Road 2019".
Bars IT Team's task was to automate the accreditation of exhibitors and the issuance of ID badges of different categories with different lanyards. The Road 2019 organiser conducted the preliminary check-in independently and gave Bars IT lists with the names of people who needed to be accredited and provided with badges.
SOLUTION
To cope with the task, Bars IT organised 14 automated workstations not only at the exhibition site, Yekaterinburg-Expo, but another 6 workstations at Koltsovo Airport, and 2 at each of the two hotels – Vremena Goda and Hyatt Regency.
It is convenient for everyone to carry out accreditation in this way. Event participants can be accredited and receive their ID badges immediately upon arrival at the airport or at their hotel. Organisers do not have to worry that there will be pandemonium at the check-in desk at Yekaterinburg-Expo, for example, on the first day of the event.

In addition, it was necessary to control access through turnstiles at the entrance and the passage of exhibitors between the terminals. Access to the events of the Roads 2019 business programme was controlled by the Bars IT team using 10 mobile data collection terminals, SEUIC.
Challenges Overcome
Since the participants entered the exhibition site through the turnstiles that were installed in Yekaterinburg-Expo, it was necessary to integrate BARS.EXPO-2 with a third-party access control system. Bars IT Team successfully coped with it.
Due to the arrival of the Prime Minister at Road 2019, it was extremely difficult to get to the site and quickly carry out the necessary works. In addition, everything had to be done in the shortest possible time. However, Bars IT overcame these difficulties safely.

RESULT
Accreditation of the Road 2019 participants started on 14 October. Bars IT provided 20 accreditation operators with all equipment and consumables to issue badges for 10,000 people.
The Bars IT team provided round-the-clock support of the BARS.EXPO-2 system. Until the last day of the exhibition, we accredited exhibitors and solved all related issues.

The company gained invaluable experience in implementing and successfully operating the BARS.EXPO-2 system in a short period of time to serve a huge number of people.
